  1. Hey Jardy, the local house dancers that I see regularly here in Seattle have picked up some foundation from your youtube videos too. Thanks for taking the time to break it down.

By the way, if I make another trip to the Bay area, what’s the best way to find out about house cyphers ahead of time? I had so much fun last time I went to that place in downtown Oakland.

  2. This video reminds me why I love to dance.

There isn’t A particular person or A particular crew I would like to learn of. What really drives me to learn the technique and the dance is a person’s passion, style and flava to it. The timeliness of that person’s everything in that dance.

I must say that I have not synced with the local scenes yet. The house community in Indonesia is still too small to be significant. Nobody really commits in that one particular dance itself. Dancers tend to go with what’s popular and what’s trending. I’m sure there are real lovers out here but again no one can commit to it!

    🙂

  3. In Toronto there is one notable dance team that i know of they host house dance events and some members have offered dance classes and workshops. They call theyselves “Warehouse jacks”

probably many other dance crews, but this one stands out in the House dance scene. an older videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ8AVP_T4Fo&feature=related

thanks for sharing your journey, enjoy!

  4. I’m from Germany and live in a village with only 5000 inhabitants.
A real dancing scene doesn’t exist and the dance-schools only over “new-style” choreo dancing, so I had to start learning by videos’s from youtube or dance-movie’s. That’s the reason why you are the biggest influence when it depends on house 😉 🙂 thanks a lot !!!

  5. I am from Boston and there really isn’t a big house scene in Boston and there is no house classes to take unless you travel to New York. I actually started learning through you videos. If it wasn’t for your tutorials, I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am now. I am still learning and study this style but because of your videos, I am able to make some progress.

  6. My teacher Eszteca Noya is the one that brought House dance to the Dutch community many years ago. From what I hear around me, many of the current top dancers are his former students.

But even though I’m taking classes for a half year now, I wouldn’t have progressed very quickly without your tutorials. I’m not trying to diss my own teacher, but thanks to you I now know how to combine moves and apply musicality to my dance which would take a longer time if your tutorials didn’t exist. So I also want to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for dedicating your precious time and energy to spreading this wonderful dance style on the Internet!! Cheers from Holland.
