  1. AN: Yes, Streek is in the video, haha. And thanks for the compliment on the annotations.

Ernest: As time goes by, I’ll eventually get to explaining how to get on the floor. Patience, though.

  2. Hey Jardy! This just came to me, but if there a way for you to make a tutorial on breaking the technicality of Level transitioning in House Dance. Possibly show a few ways to smoothly transition from a standing move to a ground move in vice versa. As much as i love doing footwork on my feet i feel a bit lost when transitioning the the ground to give my dance more variety and appeal. Thanks in Advance and keep it up man you are doing awesome. Ernest

  3. I liked the Sesame Street annotations.

I also liked hearing the sound of your footsteps without the music – it helps me match the sound with the steps to figure things out.

    Is Streek in the video?

  4. Thanks for the comments, guys. Much appreciated. Don’t hesitate to ask me for critiques whenever you need it. Just email me if you want to keep it discreet. Good stuff, Tony and Sam. Keep it up!

  5. Thanks, Jardy, for the tutorial!

I agree with the prior comments.

    1. I think what was most helpful for me was also the theory on using a “base move” as your default move and going in and out of it. Mastering a default move will be very helpful.

I tried to do every move in the book but then lost the feel and struggled with the transitions while practising.

Your visual examples and explanations always help me out.

    Thanks and Peace,
    John

  6. The most helpful part was when you said dancers have a base move. I used think having a base move was a no-no that showed lack of variety, but now you make me think the base move can be a comfortable step from which you can launch into a zillion other ideas.

Here is a link to a freestyle recording I made last week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQe1W3609-g

I am 33 years old and started bboying/house about 15 months ago. Sometimes I practice at local house clubs using your tutorials loaded on my iPhone 🙂 It’s been a rewarding journey so far.

  7. 1. One of the BIGGEST things that helped was giving us the limit of steps to practice. When working on the Jacking style I initially had trouble not going into other steps (like loose legs or pas de bouree)and keeping it simple. I also had trouble with smoothly transitioning from move to move since I haven’t really put these together.

    2. Nothing since I honestly thought this vid was great. You showed examples, had links to the tutorials if we didnt know a move, and showed the differences of the 3 styles.
